Propaganda enables governments to manipulate people.
In Animal Farm propaganda is used to manipulate the animals. One of the characters squealer used propaganda very much in order to persuade the animals that Napoleon’s is a good animal and a leader to follow. An example of that is when squealer said that snowball was the person who pushed down the windmill when snowball was clearly not the person who pushed down the windmill and is was the strong wind pushing it down because the walls of the windmill were thin.
If citizens are not aware of what is happening, corrupt figures can gain or manipulate power for their own purposes.
